X-ray Flowers
The X-ray Flowers series features an ensemble of close-ups of different flowers highlighted through a black triangle shape and it's a visual play on how we tend to miss seeing the ‘real beauty’ in the world around us, but looking at the world after having gone through a bit of pain (a shard of glass) it opens up a more colourful view on things. In the background of the painting the painter imitates watercolour painting effects, and, in the flowers, you can see a lot of attention being given to reflections and shadows that as a whole create an amazingly realistic visual of the real flower.
